Frequently Asked Questions about game/deer recovery via thermal drone

There have been successful recoveries of animals as far out as 48 hours after it has expired. This all is based on ideal conditions. It is always best to call as soon as possible .

The drone that is used has multiple cameras. Once a heat signature is located we can switch to our zoom camera with 200 power zoom  and see if it is the deer we are searching for. All of this is done from 400 feet above the ground, not disturbing other wildlife by walking around spreading human scent or creating unnecessary noise from walking around .

We can fly in almost any weather. As cold as -5F ,as hot as 120F, in rain , in snow, and in winds up to 55 MPH. Now the drone is able to fly in all of these conditions but rain can limit the use of my spot light. I normally search until I find some good sign of the game animal and will bring the unit back and attach the spot light to visually confirm it is the animal being sought. This is only when we have precipitation conditions.

We will fly until up to 2 hours or until the search area has been sufficiently covered and both of us agree to end the search.
